These matches are available to all Prime members at no additional cost. There are four boxes you can choose from:- YouView retail T2000 BT subscription T2100 BT retail T2110 BT subscription T4000 (4K, but as with NowTV devices, only for apps, like Netflix and Amazon) The BT boxes look very alike, the YouView one not. The remaining matches that weren't snapped up by BT and Sky will be shown on Prime Video, after Amazon successfully bid to stream 20 Premiere League matches through Prime from the 2019 season onwards. So BT customers can now watch BT Sport and Sky Sports - both of which share the rights to the majority of Premiere League matches. This follows the landmark agreement between BT and Sky late last year that allows each company to sell the other's sports packages. That's because Prime members who also subscribe to BT now have access to the entire 2019/20 Premiere League, with matches being shown across BT Sport, Sky Sports and Amazon Prime. This collaboration between BT and Amazon is cause for celebration for sports fans -particularly those who follow the Premiere League. However, BT has said that these customers can ask to be upgraded to the current YouView+ BT TV box to access Amazon content. Unfortunately for those customers with an older YouView+ BT TV box, Prime Video will not be available. Those with YouView+ Ultra HD boxes will get Prime later in the summer. Prime Video members who are also BT subscribers therefore get the added benefit of being able to watch Prime Video at the click of a button on their televisions - as well as on smartphones, tablets and computers.īrett Ballbach, Business Development Director for Prime Video Europe, commented: "We want Prime members to be able to watch all their favourite content when they want, on any device they want. We're delighted to add to that range of devices with Prime Video now available to access via BT TV set top boxes."īT will gradually make Amazon Prime available to its BT TV customers from mid-June onwards. They can then choose from Amazon's selection of original and exclusive TV shows and movies. Prime members then need to sign in to the Amazon Prime Video Player App through their set top box, which can be found in the 'Players and Apps' section of the BT TV menu. To benefit, BT customers need to subscribe to Amazon Prime. Tony Singh, Content and Business Development Director for BT's Consumer Division, said: "Our ambition is to offer an unrivalled choice of TV content for our customers by partnering with the very best providers, with Prime Video joining a brilliant line-up including BT Sport, Netflix, NOW TV, BBC iPlayer." How does it work? Prime members simply need to click on the app and choose from the top shows on offer, including The Grand Tour, American Gods, Vikings and The Marvellous Mrs. The Prime App will be integrated into the home screen on the BT TV menu. ![]() “Our new range of TV packs bring together the best premium services, fully loaded with a wide range of award-winning shows, the best live sports in stunning 4K and the latest must-see films – all with the flexibility to change packs every month – with quick and easy search to find what you want to watch.Following the announcement, BT customers that have or take out an Amazon Prime membership will now be able to watch all Prime Video content through their televisions. More so with the arrival of new video streaming services like Disney+ and others returning and strengthening their respective TV platforms.”īT consumer division CEO Marc Allera said: “Life doesn’t stand still from month to month, so we don’t believe our customers’ TV should either. ![]() “It is set to be a bumper year in video/TV services as all providers seek to differentiate their offerings. In the future expect this new TV platform to be bundled with BT Halo which will further strengthen its premium convergent offering. However, it is unlikely to pose a considerable threat to Sky who in turn will be able to bundle BT Sport into its own packages. Ive Googled it and on the BT page this is on there, as the BT box is also. “BT has done a superb job of introducing some novel features and bringing together key services all in one place. Hi since August Amazon prime video does not work on my TV box which was even. PP Foresight telco analyst Paolo Pescatore said: “This well long-overdue move feels like a last-ditch effort to be successful on TV. Netflix and Amazon Prime can be accessed through an easy-to-use search. The packages will start at £10 per month and viewers will be given the flexibility to upgrade, downgrade or add a bolt-on. The new 24-month flexible TV packages will launch on February 21 and include Sky Atlantic Sky Sports and NOW TV in addition to BT Sport. BT is adding NOW TV to its flexible packages through a BT TV box.
